ADQI 36 Consensus Conference on The Interface between ECLS, AKI, Fluid Management and CRRT

The ADQI 36 conference is focused on cardiac and respiratory organ support therapies. Acute kidney injury and disorders of fluid balance are common complications among patients who require cardiac and/or respiratory organ support. Continuous renal replacement therapy is often used in tandem with extracorporeal cardiac and respiratory support. Strategies to prevent, delay progression and treat AKI and fluid balance disorders are highly variable. Furthermore, the exact timing of  when to initiate renal replacement therapy is unknown, along with fluid should be removed. This ADQI will discuss AKI, disorders of fluid balances and continuous renal replacement therapy among those receiving extracorporeal cardiac and/or pulmonary organ support.
