40th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Blood Purification

The 40^th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Blood Purification (ISBP) will be held in Roma-Italia on October 7-9, 2026. This conference is a classic event in the field of Blood Purification allowing young fellows and established experts to meet and exchange information. The scientific program will include special sessions with formal presentations, meet the expert and focus sessions on topics related to different blood purification techniques, and finally poster presentation together with a productive networking activity among physicians, nurses and members of the companies. The content will balance basic principles and educational sessions with advanced presentations and lectures on the most recent advances on membranes (HF, MCO, Super HF etc), sorbents, techniques (HD, HFD, HDF, HDx, HAHD) and relevant clinical studies and trials. ISBP and its official journal Blood Purification, represent the perfect arena for presenting new evidence and new devices in the field of extracorporeal therapies with an open eye on topics such as Acute blood Purification, Plasmapheresis, Therapeutic Apheresis, Hemoadsorption and pediatric applications. Ultimately, the conference program will be a mix of basic principles and new experimental findings, recapitulating the current evidence and the new horizons in the care of patients with ESKD, AKI, intoxication, metabolic disorders and other conditions requiring application of blood purification techniques. Topics such as indications, timing modalities, prescription and delivery, monitoring and quality control, different techniques and clinical results will be debated by an outstanding international faculty using English as official language. Together with new devices, new drugs and recent pharmacological trials in the field will be included in the main program. A series of lectures and panel discussions will be delivered during the days of the conference integrated by special industry sponsored symposia, meet the expert sessions and quick Cappuccino-like short presentations. For many years the ISBP has been a cornerstone  in education and science in the field providing the basis for significant steps forward in the care of patient. The faculty is outstanding and the audience is a melting pot of international attendees. Fellows and experts are invited to submit abstracts to present their findings and to discuss with colleagues the results. Members from industry are invited to join the event reserving booths and spaces in the exhibition area, as well as organizing educational symposia.
